Last Night, I took my AMAZING staff out for the Chef Mike of Sarasota official Christmas/birthday/appreciation party. It is a lot for them to work in the tough catering and personal chef environment. It can be demanding and sometimes I tend to be a little crazy! I decided to take them to the best chef driven creative restaurants I could find to hopefully inspire us to think outside the box with our cooking. The Rooster and The Till came highly recommended by google and yelp. They social media couldn't have been more correct. One of the most influential restaurants in the west coast of Florida. The Chef Ferrell Alverez was super friendly. He greeted our table with wonderful advice how to enjoy his menu best. With items like scallop crudo with ginger cashew gremolata, chive flower onion ring and cashew milk, our group of personal chefs were interested. We decided to order the whole menu. . I understand why it is celebrated. Chef Alverez has a great group of chefs. Each dish was perfectly executed and beautifully garnished. I wish we had a few restaurants like this in the Sarasota area, but this place was well worth the drive. Located at 6500 North Florida Ave. As a caterer and personal chef here in Sarasota, I am in awe of this wonderful establishment and it pushes my creativity and level of personal expectations to a higher lever.
